Banco Sabadell and Meridiano have signed an agreement to market death insurance for the next ten years with the aim of boosting subscription to these products among the Bank’s individual and self-employed customers, and to grow the Bank's market share in Spain.

The financial institution will contribute to the alliance its widespread branch network in Spain, with more than five million customers. In turn, BanSabadell Seguros Generales, an insurance company owned by Banco Sabadell, and Meridiano have agreed on the co-insurance underwriting of this new death insurance, with the best cover at a competitive price and with a green and comprehensive service adapted to the new needs in the event of death and life services for the insured family.

Meridiano, as a specialist company in the field, will make available to the Bank’s customers its implementation and experience of more than 55 years in the death insurance market. It is also part of the ASV Group, an organisation of service companies engaged in medical transportation, insurance and funeral services, with almost 95 years of experience and a strong national presence and international expansion projects successfully completed in Germany, Colombia and the United States. The combination of the scale of a great business group, with an approachable customer service philosophy, translates into the trust of almost 700,000 customers throughout Spain and several million outside its borders.
