Banco Sabadell has opened another representative office: in Lima (Peru). The office has been established with the goal of participating actively in financing the country's leading business groups as well as strategic infrastructure and energy projects, leveraging the momentum of the Peruvian economy, which has great growth potential. The lowering of barriers coupled with foreign investment in Peru are driving diversification and offer opportunities for improvements in such sectors as infrastructure, energy, telecommunications and tourism.
This new representative office in Lima furthers Banco Sabadell's international diversification policy, which is one of the cornerstones of its TRIple 2014-2016 business plan: Transformation, Profitability and Internationalization.
Lima joins the Sabadell group's broad network of offices around the world. Like the other representative offices, the Lima office will offer additional support services to Sabadell group customers that are interesting in operating in Peru.
Banco Sabadell's team in Peru will be supported by the group's global structure and experience, offering specialisation in financial solutions for companies and for funding infrastructure, energy and tourism projects. Another of the office's objectives will be to finance foreign trade, favouring imports and exports between Peru and Latin America, the US and Europe.
The office will be located in the Umayuq building, on Avenida Víctor Andrés Belaunde, in the San Isidro district. It will be managed by Juan Ignacio de la Vega, who has 16 years' experience in Latin America. De la Vega has worked in such countries as Guatemala and Ecuador, and has been working in Peru for the last seven years.
The Sabadell group's international network of representative offices and branches and its global corporate banking activities are coordinated by the America and Global Corporate Banking Division, headed by Fernando Pérez-Hickman, Sabadell Group general manager. Sabadell currently has over 16 billion dollars in business in America.
